Sharelatex to Emacs-AUCTeX in 2017?
In fact, when I compile myFigure.tex, I can see the output but I. Thing: download the produced myFigure.pdf, and upload it to my files.
I'm on a break right now and need help fixing something that isn't broken. I write undergrad maths papers and have been humming along nicely with Sharelatex. I've been researching some offline editors and seem to keep running across Emacs. Sharelatex has been more than adequate for my needs, so obviously I need something else.
But seriously, might I come to a point where learning to tex with Emacs or something similar will be worth my while?
I'm no coder by any stretch of the imagination, and I'm not really sure what Emacs is -- well, I know that it's an editor, but then I hear that it's so much more. It seems like getting everything installed and set up will be a bit challenging for me, but I'm eager to put in the work and learn something in the process.
So, I'm asking, should I even bother? Save from being able to work offline, what exactly are the advantages Latexing with Emacs that Sharelatex, Overleaf et al. don't?
Download Tex File From Sharelatex To Word
- To download the final PDF file. Click the Menu button then click the PDF icon, or click the PDF download button on the built-in PDF viewer. To download a project. Click the Menu button, then click the Source icon and select the folder where you want to save your file. To download several projects.
- One site I’ve found useful is sharelatex.com, which allows multiple collaborators to revise a.tex document online, and compile it on the fly (so, you can see the.pdf at the sharelatex site, right next to the.tex file that produced it). It works great for documents that are primarily text and bibliographies, but I haven’t pushed it too.
