How to play Ancient Jewels Click two jewels to switch them and make a vertical line or horizontal row of 3 or more jewels of the same color to clear them and any stone slabs beneath them. A simple and relaxing game of match three with plenty of game and levels to complete
Ancient Jewels is a classic, standard even, match-three game in which you have to do that one thing that’s done in all games of this sort...match three (or more) gems of the same kind. It features the standard gameplay, simple graphics, and a variety of levels to play.
Quickly swap gems and race against the clock
In Ancient Jewels, apart from having to match three or more gems of the same kind, you also have to keep track of the clock. Each level has certain mini objectives, such as eliminate all the tiles with backgrounds, or free gems that are locked in place with chains.
If you don’t manage to complete the tasks, and the clock runs out, you lose the level and have to restart it. Thankfully, there’s enough on the timer to offer anyone a chance to finish it.
Ancient Jewels is not a hard game to play
As you can imagine, Ancient Jewels is not at all difficult. It’s all about spotting some simple combinations, clicking two gems to swap their positions, and then watching how the matched ones disappear. In case you get stuck, there is a hammer power-up to use. It’s obvious what that does.
Apart from that, there are other special gems that can appear, in the form of a bomb, or a lightning bulb. And again, it’s obvious what they do. Not just because of the way they look, but because they are so widely used, you’ve surely seen them before.
A nice casual match three game
To sum things up, Ancient Jewels is in no way special but it still retains that nuance of addiction that most match three games have. So, if you’re looking for a casual match three game, this is is.
